Los Easy Riders

Los Easy Riders

In 1998, social entrepreneur arnoud raskin, who was in his early twenties at the time, travelled to south america in search of information and inspiration for his mobile school. His journey took him from bogota, colombia, to sucre, bolivia and he kept a journal on the places he visited, the street children he met, the projects and the everyday things that struck him.

It’s 2013 and fifteen years after his initial journey, arnoud and his mate, film director paul ‘polle’ van rooy, revisit south america on a motorcycle with the journal as a travel guide. During an 8,000 km motorcycle trip, the two friends find out just how inhospitable the andes can be. Not only do arnoud and polle discover what it feels like to travel on unmetalled roads, they also experience how travelling by motorcycle brings them closer to the locals, both literally and figuratively. Along the way, they run into old friends and make a truckload of new ones.
