Live in Congo
Musician ronny mosuse, the son of a congolese father and a belgian mother, has never been to congo before. Together with two close musician friends, guitarist aram van ballaert and accordion player klaas gaublomme, he gave a series of concerts there within the scope of an aids awareness campaign.
‘live in congo’ is an evocative documentary/road movie. Mosuse goes through a range of emotions, from enchantment to exasperation, from being touched by the warm response to admiring the congolese for their lack of cynicism. He discovers that singing is all it takes to bring a message across in the congo.
