De bril van Martin
Sijsele, a small village in west flanders, is hosting 500 refugees. Journalist martin heylen was curious about the impact this must have on the locals. How do they interact with their new neighbours from unknown and faraway places? And what is the story of these refugees? What do they think of belgium and how do they see their future? In making this documentary, martin exchanged his glasses for a camera lens, bringing both himself and the viewer to eye level with the refugees and the inhabitants of sijsele.
